VINTAGE - CAST METAL - COCKER SPANIEL - STILL BANK - EXCELLENT ORIGINAL PAINT!!! Offered is a vintage cast metal, Cocker Spaniel Still Bank with what appears to be original black and cream colored paint showing a great older patina from years of handling. The original paint on our Cocker Spaniel Still Bank is in excellent condition. There has been less than 1% or 2% of the original paint rubbed or chipped off and it is only in those areas you notice the silver-gray base metal showing below the original paint. Our Cocker Spaniel Still Bank has a wonderful old patina over the entire body. The portion of the Cocker Spaniel Still Bank that he is sitting on while on display is the location of the bank trap door where the coins are removed, this area is entirely covered with the cream colored paint that covers the areas of the body that are not covered with the alternate black paint. The cream colored paint on the bottom of Cocker Spaniel Still Bank is also it excellent condition. The trap door locking mechanism appears to be intact and currently locked, however, we do not have a key to open it. We have not attempted to open the trap door in the several years we have owned him, since we have only had him for display with some of our other still banks. There are no broken or damaged cast metal pieces of our Cocker Spaniel Still Bank although we cannot be absolutely sure about the trap door locking mechanism since we have never owned a key to operate the lock. It is unknown where he was manufactured however, he was likely manufactured in the United States prior to the 1950s and possibly as early as the 1910s. Our Cocker Spaniel Still Bank stands approximately 4¾ inches tall, approximately 2½ inches wide, 4¼ inches deep, weighing 1 lb. 1.7 oz. We are still somewhat new to selling on eBay and could easily miss something in our written description that you would like to know.
