Vintage 1960s Primitive Cast Iron 12" Muscular Great Dane DOG DOORSTOP Vintage 1960s Primitive Cast Iron 12" Muscular Great Dane DOG DOORSTOP Click images to enlarge Description VINTAGE DOORSTOP Large and striking primitive vintage cast iron seated dog on tiered base doorstop measuring 12" tall, 8-1/2" wide and 3-1/2" deep. Weighing about seven pounds, it has substantial molded musculature - dog appears to be some type of Great Dane with a long curved tail and drop ears. Marked TAIWAN incised on the back, it dates to the 1960s - condition is very nice with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or damage other than surface rust as shown around the base (does not cut in) - this was housed in the cellar of a home that flooded in Morgan Hill, California.
